We had a wonderful time at Rutland Water on Wednesday and were so lucky with the weather. We gathered many interesting facts:
- It took 3 years to fill the reservoir
- The perimeter of the reservoir is 23miles.
- The River Nene and the River Welland feed into the reservoir
Seth recorded the ratio of length to height of the dam after he had discussed this with Miss Kirby. Jack Wise answered the question about the possible number of visitors on a hot day in the summer, after we learnt that the car capacity for all three sites was 3,000. Fantastic - there is maths in everything!
