Our school have been doing lots of work about Remembrance and the importance of remembering the bravery of heroes past and present. One hundred years on from the first Armistice Day, we feel proud that our children continue to show such awareness and respect for the past, and an understanding of the impact it has had on our futures.
Our Pupil Leadership Team laid the poppy wreath at the memorial on Remembrance Sunday, and all of our children went to the church on Armistice Day to join together with our church and village communities for a quiet and respectful service of Remembrance, led by our children. Following this, the whole school walked to the memorial and we paid our respects to every fallen soldier of Brigstock.
Many parents and members of the wider village and school communities joined us too. It felt very special to share this occasion with everyone.
