We have had a really lovely run-up to Christmas with so many events and activities- despite Covid! We were all so pleased that we managed to do a Christmas performance and our families all enjoyed these on DBPrimary. We have also created lots of lovely Christmas cards and decorations, and we even had a Christmas lunch! The parties were lots of fun, and Santa left some presents for us, even though he couldn’t visit in person. We also want to thank our amazing PFA for organising lots of Christmas activities for us to enjoy- in safe but fun ways. We even had a Christmas Jumper Day and we all enjoyed sharing a special party day in our bubbles. Now we are all looking forward to spending some time with our families before returning to school in January. We hope that 2021 is happy, fulfilling- and a bit more fun!
We have continued to do a range of fund-raising events in a Covid-safe way. This week was pretty amazing…
We could not do our annual ‘Christmas Art Attack’ in the hall, so we created Art Attack boxes- and sold 50, raising £150! Mrs Briggs organized an amazing raffle and lucky dip bags, and raised a further £160.
We want to thank our amazing PFA for all their work in supporting our fund-raising and for helping at every school event we do. We have such a supportive community, and we all feel so lucky.
We felt incredibly proud this week as our ‘Brigstock 400’ publication was launched.
We had put together a 400 committee back in January, but things have not quite gone to plan, with Covid changing so many of our plans. Howwever the book launch has gone ahead this week and we are delighted that we have been able to give a copy of our book to every family. We will sell the remaining copies, and we know that everyone will enjoy sharing in all the achievements that are shared within the pages of the book. It sums up all the wonderful things about our school and it is a true celebration of ‘Life in all its fullness.’
“The book looks so wonderful. We do so many things at our school, I feel very lucky that this is MY school.!”
“It was wonderful to sit down and look at this book with my children. It sums up all that we love about this school. It is a school that truly lives its values.”
We want to thank everyone who has enabled the publication to become a reality- and particularly to our children and staff who continue to do so many wonderful things.
