All children in Key Stage 1 are entitled to free school meals provided by Kingswood Catering. These need to be ordered via the Kingswood Catering website.
Your child can choose to bring a packed lunch and drink to school instead. The lunch should preferably be in a standard plastic lunch box, containing a plastic drink flask. Drinks cartons with straws are acceptable, cans and bottles are not allowed. We strive to instil good table manners at meal times and look for your support in this.
If you are in receipt of income support your child is probably entitled to a free school meal. Please call at the school office where staff will be happy to assist you in making the necessary arrangements.
Children may return home for their lunch as long as prior notice is given each time this is to occur. If children are going to be off the school site for lunch Key Stage 1 children should be collected at 12 noon and Key Stage 2 children at 12.15 pm. Children need to return to school for 1.15 pm.
Behaviour at Lunchtime – The children are supervised by lunchtime supervisors and are expected to eat their food in a sensible manner showing respect for the supervisors. Children are expected to behave at all times in accordance with the school policy on behaviour.
Children should eat a healthy snack at morning break time. Free fruit is provided every day for all children in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. Children can also bring a healthy snack from home if they wish. Parents can pay into the National School Milk Scheme for their child to receive milk each day if they wish.
