We held a quiet service of Remembrance in the church, followed by prayers and a silence at the village war memorial. The whole school attended the service, as did many of the wider school and village community.
Our children led the service and wrote thoughtful prayers and poems. They also did some beautiful singing.
“We must always remember these people who saved our lives. We didn’t know them but we must always thank them because they gave us our freedom and our life today is because of them.”
We were proud of our House Captains who presented the wreath at the village service on Remembrance Sunday.
We also presented poppy stones to the church and we placed poppy stones with the names of the fallen soldiers in the village memorial garden.
